தேர்தல் பணியிலிருந்து விதி விலக்கு அளிக்கலாம்.

A committee is established to scrutinize exemption applications for polling personnel due to high staffing requirements.
Exemptions may be granted to employees retiring within 6 months, pregnant or lactating mothers, persons with disabilities, or those with serious medical ailments.
The authority is granted under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006

ORDER:
Vide reference 1 cited, the Tamil Nadu Election Commission has announced the date of urban local body Elections and Model code of conduct is in force.
It is stated that as per Rule 13 of TamilNadu Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006 the District Election Officer is empowered to appoint any State Government or Central Government employee as Polling Personnel. In this regard, it is further stated that the total requirement of Polling Personnel for Chennai district is 30,000+. It is further stated that the categories of employees for whom exemption can be given by the employer are as follows,
Any official to be retired within 6 months may be exempted from election related duty, All pregnant women and lactating mothers (child less than 1 year),
whether on maternity leave or not or who mare otherwise on medical advice not to undertake any rigorous or hazardous work, may be exempted from election related duty,
Persons with Disabilities Physically challenged persons with disabilities may be exempted from the election related duty.
iv) Serious Medical Ailments such as Cancer, dialysis etc.
In this regard, in order to scrutinize and pass orders on the Polling Personnel election duty exemption requests a Committee is hereby constituted with the following members. இந்திய தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தின் விதிகளின்படி, தேர்தல் பணியிலிருந்து பின்வரும் நபர்களுக்கு விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படுகிறது:
பணி ஓய்வு பெறவுள்ளவர்கள்: அடுத்த 6 மாதங்களில் பணி ஓய்வு பெறவுள்ள அரசு ஊழியர்கள் தேர்தல் பணியில் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.
கர்ப்பிணி மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் தாய்மார்கள்: கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் மற்றும் ஒரு வயதிற்குட்பட்ட குழந்தையைக் கொண்டுள்ள பாலூட்டும் தாய்மார்களுக்கு தேர்தல் பணியிலிருந்து முழு விலக்கு உண்டு.
மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள்: உடல் ரீதியாக சவால்களைக் கொண்ட மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு தேர்தல் பணியிலிருந்து விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.
கடுமையான நோயினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்: புற்றுநோய் (Cancer), சிறுநீரகக் கோளாறு (Dialysis) போன்ற தீவிர உடல்நலப் பாதிப்பு உள்ளவர்கள் மருத்துவச் சான்றிதழ்களைச் சமர்ப்பித்து விலக்கு பெறலாம்.
அத்தியாவசியப் பணித் துறையினர்: சில குறிப்பிட்ட துறைகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு விலக்கு உண்டு:
மருத்துவர்கள், செவிலியர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட மருத்துவப் பணியாளர்கள் (சுகாதாரம் சார்ந்த தேர்தல் பணி தவிர).
கால்நடை மருத்துவமனை ஊழியர்கள்.
வனத்துறையின் பிராந்திய ஊழியர்கள்.
ஆல் இந்தியா ரேடியோ (AIR) மற்றும் தூர்தர்ஷன் ஊழியர்கள்.
இந்திய உணவுக் கழக (FCI) அதிகாரிகள்.
கிராமப்புறங்களில் உள்ள ஒற்றை அதிகாரி கொண்ட வங்கி கிளை ஊழியர்கள்.
விலக்கு பெறும் முறை:
தேர்தல் பணியிலிருந்து விலக்கு கோருபவர்கள், அதற்கான உரிய ஆவணங்கள் மற்றும் மருத்துவச் சான்றிதழ்களுடன் அந்தந்த மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் அலுவலகத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தேர்தல் பணி விலக்குக் குழுவிடம் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும். தகுந்த காரணங்கள் இருப்பின் மட்டுமே மாவட்டத் தேர்தல் அலுவலரால் இந்த கோரிக்கை பரிசீலிக்கப்படும்
